The time was ripe for al Qaeda to prove it could still shake the West through deadly bombings in Saudi Arabia and Osama bin Laden’s network will try again, U.S. terrorism experts said on Wednesday. Al Qaeda, which is blamed for the Sept. 11, 2001, attacks on America, sees itself as the defender of Islam against U.S. aggression and uses attacks to show that it is a force to be reckoned with and to recruit angry young men, experts said.
