A Yemeni judge was injured in a courtroom blast Wednesday and police arrested a man suspected of throwing a grenade in the court where a Yemeni was sentenced to death this week for killing three American missionaries. The extent of the judge’s injuries was not immediately known. A government official told Reuters personal rather than political motives were behind the attack on the courtroom in the province of Ebb, 105 miles south of the capital Sanaa. “It appears that disagreements between him (suspect) and others, which the court was studying, was the motive for throwing the hand grenade,” the official said.
