Sophos has alerted its users to a new Trojan virus that appears as an ‘administrative email’. Troj/Peido-B arrives as an administrative email with an error.hta attachment and contains the text ‘THIS IS A WARNING MESSAGE ONLY YOU DO NOT NEED TO RESEND YOUR MESSAGE’. It puts the Trojan Dloader-BO on an infected machine which will then contact a Web site within three days of being run, and download further Trojans. A Trojan opens a doorway into a system, through which the attacker can gain access and even remotely launch attacks on other computers and Web sites. Full Story
