Troops in India’s north-eastern state of Nagaland have raided a separatist base belonging to the National Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN). The soldiers arrested three rebels and seized weapons, ammunition and cash. The NSCN accused government forces of violating a six-year-old ceasefire and imperilling political negotiations over the future of the state. Ten days ago, Indian forces raided another NSCN camp near Nagaland’s commercial hub of Dimapur and recovered weapons and quantities of Burmese heroin. Full Story
