Computer crime cost UK companies £145m last year, according to research by IBM. The Information at Risk report, released at the InfoSecurity show this week, says that organisations are still not treating security seriously enough. ‘I don’t think anybody will be surprised by the size of this,’ Peter Joplin, Tivoli Security manager at IBM Software told Computing. ‘Most people don’t want to admit to such breaches and a lot of organisations don’t know what is going on because they don’t have systems that can highlight this,’ he said.
