NATO-led peacekeepers uncovered a cache of illegal weapons and ammunition during a routine search of homes in the Serb-held part of Bosnia, an alliance statement said Wednesday. German and Italian peacekeepers discovered rocket launchers, hand grenades, land mines, rifles, pistols and over 10,000 rounds of ammunition on Tuesday in the villages of Bogovici and Hotocina, 15 kilometers (10 miles) east of Sarajevo. The statement described the cache as “significant.” Peacekeepers often search homes and businesses as part of their mandate to keep Bosnia safe and secure.
