Explosion Rocks Kabul

The authorities in Afghanistan said on Sunday there had been an explosion in the capital, Kabul. The blast, on the eastern outskirts of the city, left a two-metre crater at the side of the main Kabul-Jalalabad road. The police say the explosion appears to have been caused by a landmine. There were no casualties. Reports say the explosion occurred not far from the US embassy, and the compound of the international peacekeeping force in Kabul – ISAF. Full Story
