A bomb heavily damaged a building where talks were held for a recall referendum of President Hugo Chavez, authorities said. The blast at the Teleport office building occurred at 2:45 a.m.; the only two people inside, a night watchman and a technician, were not injured. Police said they did not know who planted the bomb or why. The bombers may be the same as those behind bombings at the Spanish embassy and Colombian consulate in February, Police Chief Carlos Medina said. No suspects have been identified in those explosions.
