A British judge ordered the extradition to France of Algerian Rachid Ramda who is accused of involvement in a bombing on a Paris subway in 1995 that killed eight people. Ramda, whom his lawyer described as the longest-serving extradition prisoner in Britain having spent seven-and-a-half years in custody, has 15 days to appeal the decision, which also must be approved by Home Secretary David Blunkett. Ramda, who is suspected of having financed the attack, spoke only to confirm his name and took notes during Friday’s 20-minute hearing. He appeared at Bow Street Magistrates’ Court in central London on two charges of conspiracy to murder and conspiracy to cause explosions on July 25, 1995. Full Story
