Kenya Tourist Board (KTB) has decried the issuance of travel advisories in recent times that seem to target Kenya. The United States and Britain, key allies in the current war in the Gulf have in the past issued such warnings to their citizens. KTB chairman, Mr Raymond Matiba, said that these advisories inhibit potential tourists from taking holiday here. “They have always been used against us as they portray Kenya as a dangerous zone,” he said. He made the remarks in an interview at the Nyali Beach Hotel, North Coast. Matiba said that Kenya has in the recent past done quite a lot as far as beefing up security is concerned and gave the example of the establishment of the Anti-terrorism police squad. Full Story
