The U.S. embassy in the United Arab Emirates warned American citizens on Sunday of a possible “terrorist” attack in Dubai, the Gulf’s tourism hub. “The U.S. mission to the UAE has received indications of a possible terrorist attack against night clubs in Dubai. Americans in Dubai are urged to avoid such locations,” it said in a citizens’ advisory without giving further details. U.S. embassy officials declined further comment when contacted. UAE officials were not immediately available. There are around 16,000 American citizens living in the oil-rich UAE, where violent crime is rare and which is known for its relatively vibrant night life and relaxed atmosphere. Full Story
