Afghan authorities said on Friday they had arrested 10 members of the former Taliban regime suspected of plotting terror attacks. Police said they had also seized arms, explosives, land mines and documents when they raided a house in the southern city of Kandahar to make the arrests. “At least 10 suspects were arrested at a house in Kandahar on Thursday with a stock of arms and land mines,” a senior police officer in the city, Muhammad Anwar, told Reuters. Anwar said the raid followed a tip-off that Arabs and Taliban were using the house and were planning attacks.
