Two American Jews now living in Israel are offering American and Canadian tourists a five-day package of counterterrorism training, complete with a mock terror attack. The $5,500 Shiloh tour package includes a stay at an Israeli army bunker, military-style food, hand-to-hand combat in the desert and training on how to understand the mentality of terrorists. The “tourists” will experience a mock attack sometime during the five days. Jay Greenblad, a former Pittsburgh tire salesman who moved to Israel in 1996, said he realized after the Sept. 11, 2001, terror attacks in the United States that he could help prepare Americans for such horrors using his own experiences from living in Israel. Greenblad and partner Yehoshua Mizrahi, a former kosher meat distributor who immigrated to the West Bank last year from Baltimore, hope to show the impact of 29 months of fighting between Israelis and Palestinians.
