Seven persons were killed in fighting between warring militias in the south west of the Somali capital Makadishu raising the number of killing to 12 persons who were killed within two days of confrontations. Chiefs of tribes said that seven persons were killed yesterday with the renewed confrontations following a calm night, but did not explain if the murdered persons are civilians or fighters. In a non- final estimates stated by certain citizens, some 11 persons were also wounded yesterday morning. The confrontations took place in al-Madina quarters between the militia which belongs to the warlord Moussa Soudi Yalahu and the militia of the war leader Omar Mahmoud Muhammad, with two of them controling part of the quarters. The militias are still exchanging fire. However, three civilians, and two militia members were killed on Wednesday with the beginning of the fighting and other seven persons were wounded. Full Story
