The Dutch daily, ‘Algemeen Dagblad’, revealed more than it bargained for when creative surfers discovered a breach in the newspaper’s website’s security, giving them access to such confidential and sensitive information as the headline banner to be used on the death of Princess Juliana, the aging and ailing former queen of the Netherlands. Another Dutch daily, ‘Haagsche Courant’, suffered a similar fate last year when a web search-engine inadvertently picked up an ‘advance’ copy of the obituary of Prince Klaus, the Prince Consort, gravely ill at the time, from the newspaper’s web server.
