The Sudanese foreign minister Mustafa Othman Ismael has stressed that there is great hope to signing a peace agreement between the Sudanese government and the rebels in 2003 and that current conditions now are better following the suspension of the acts of violence. Ismael indicated that there is a vast Arab move in the context of the Arab League’ moves to support Sudan’s unity through political and economic efforts. He indicated that the Arab Ministerial Committee which held its meeting in January in Khartoum under the chairmanship if the AL secretary general and in line with which a meeting was held for the AL Funds in January in Cairo, held its meeting yesterday in order to draw needed arrangements to contribute to the projects that ensure work opportunities to the citizen in southern Sudan and contribute to Sudan’s building and development.
