With the nation on a heightened state of alert to possible terrorism, police bomb squads responded to two incidents Wednesday in Boston. An American Eagle jet passenger plane was prevented from taking off from Boston after a heat sensor warning light came on. In the other incident, a suspicious package prompted officials to evacuate several upper floors in the John F. Kennedy federal building in Boston. All 21 passengers and three crewmembers aboard Flight 4579 were evacuated and their bags were removed from the luggage compartment. The passengers were taken by bus back to the terminal as the bomb squad checked the baggage to determine what set off the heat warning light. Nothing suspicious was found, officials said. Full Story
