While the British capital is being enclosed in a security net in case of a possible terrorist attack, the foreign office has warned UK citizens of possible terrorist attacks in South Africa. The foreign office said although South Africa didn’t have a recent history of international terrorism, it believed “visible British institutions and organisations” might become targets for international terrorists. British citizens are cautioned that, in light of the Bali terrorist attack last year they should be on the alert when visiting nightclubs, restaurants, holiday resorts on the coast and some tourist locations. The office said South African authorities had placed a high priority on tourist security and had deployed so-called tourist police officers at various locations. Full Story
