Colombia’s defense minister flew to Washington today to seek yet more aid from the Bush administration as the six-month-old government of President Álvaro Uribe signaled that it would use the bombing of an exclusive Bogotá club on Friday to press for renewed assistance in battling terrorism. The trip of Defense Minister Marta Lucía Ramírez was planned months ago. But Colombian officials said the bombing on Friday, which killed 32 people, would be central to talks as Mr. Uribe’s government tries to combat what it sees as potential urban terrorism by the group blamed for the bombing, the Revolutionary Armed Forces of Colombia.
