At least one rocket landed near the German base in Kabul on Monday, coinciding with the handover of control of the international peacekeeping mission to Germany and the Netherlands and the visit of the German defense minister. Kabul chief of security Basir Salangi told Reuters that one 122mm projectile had landed about one mile away from the German base, but that there had been no casualties. “The BM-21 rocket impacted on the Shina hills, which are 1,500 meters away from the German base,” he said.
