Iran is concerned that Iraq could use chemical and biological weapons if attacked and that Iranians could be among the victims, the Iranian ambassador to Belarus said Wednesday. “Iraq used chemical weapons against Iran during the last Iran-Iraq war. We suppose that Iraq might use weapons of mass destruction,” Ambassador Mohammed Hashemi Golpayegani said. Iran fears that if Iraq is attacked, “it is possible that the people of Iran will also suffer,” Golpayegani said.
