IDF tanks and troops entered a Palestinian refugee camp in the Gaza Strip in the early hours of Wednesday morning, exchanging fire with gunmen, Palestinian security officials said. An IDF spokesman said that a routine operation was underway. Palestinian security officials and residents said about 10 IDF tanks entered the Maghazi refugee camp in the central Strip, and soldiers were searching houses there. Ssources also said that the family home of Fatah activist Baha Saeed was blown up. Saeed killed two Israelis in an attack on the Gaza settlement of Kfar Darom shortly after the Intifada began in September 2000. He was shot dead during the assault on the settlement. Full Story
