A north African man charged with terrorism after police raided a London mosque and another accused of conspiring to develop chemical weapons appeared in court in London Monday. Samir Asli, 29, was arrested along with six others after a dramatic raid by 150 police officers at the high-profile Finsbury Park Mosque in north London a week ago. He made a brief court appearance at Bow St Magistrates Court in central London charged with possessing an article for the preparation, instigation or commission of terrorism offences. He was remanded in custody for another week.
