Biometrics called key to better airport security
Biometrics, the security approach that relies on fingerprint, eye, voice or face recognition and pattern-matching, received a huge endorsement in the “National Strategy for Homeland Defense” report recently unveiled by President Bush. Meanwhile, a group of airlines, Silicon Valley high-tech firms, and San Jose airport officials reached a similar conclusion about the value of biometrics in a report they issued on how to improve security at that facility.
