Washington Gets Tough on Hackers

The US House of Representatives has approved a computer crime bill that would allow life sentences for hackers. However, the new legislation is unlikely to prove an effective deterrent to international computer crime, say experts. The bill is designed to combat malicious intrusions, denial of service attacks and computer terrorism.
