John Magaw, head of the agency responsible for security at the nation`s airports, was forced from office Thursday in a move sources say had been in the works for weeks. He will be replaced as head of the new Transportation Security Administration by James Loy, 59, a retired U.S. Coast Guard commandant. Loy was hired in May to be the agency`s chief operating officer.
