Police defuse timebomb in Thailand`s Muslim south
Thai police defused a powerful timebomb on Tuesday placed in front of a food shop in the country`s Muslim-majority south, the latest in a string of violent incidents that have shaken the region. Police said the time bomb, made from about 10 kg (22 lbs) of plastic explosive connected to a clock, was left in a box outside the shop in the town of Su-ngai Kolok on the border with Malaysia.
