Israeli troops raided towns in the West Bank and Gaza Strip early Friday, killing 26 Palestinians, including a general. A few miles from one of the battles, a Palestinian gunman attacked dormitories and a Bible study hall in a Jewish settlement in Gaza, killing five Israeli teenagers.
