At least 16 policemen have been killed in the bloodiest attack by Maoist rebels since Nepal`s government declared a state of emergency late last year, the home ministry revealed. Seven guerrillas also died in the three-hour battle after the Maoists attacked a police post at Bhakundabesi in Kabhre district, 120 kilometres (75 miles) east of Kathmandu, on Monday night.
