U.S. officials have uncovered documents in Afghanistan indicating that al-Qaida planned terrorist attacks on Seattle’s landmark Space Needle, the Los Angeles International Airport, the Grand Coulee Dam and the U.S. Mint in Philadelphia, NBC News’ Jim Miklaszewski has learned.
