Four policemen were killed and at least 14 people injured in a dawn attack by unidentified gunmen outside the U.S. information office in the eastern Indian city of Calcutta Tuesday, police said. Immediately after the unprecedented attack, police cordoned off streets around the already heavily guarded center, which houses the U.S. press attache, a trade office and a library popular with local residents.
