The military wing of the militant Islamic group Hamas claimed responsibility on Tuesday for a New Year's day car bomb in the Israeli city of Netanya which wounded dozens of people, a senior Hamas leader said. “Izz el-Deen al-Qassam Brigades declare its responsibility for the Netanya operation,” Abdel-Aziz al-Rantissi told Reuters, referring to Hamas's military wing.
