Lebanon granted political asylum today to Kozo Okamoto, a 52-year-old Japanese man who helped carry out a massacre in which 26 people died at an airport in Israel in 1972. Simultaneously, the Beirut government ordered the deportation to Jordan of four other members of the Japanese Red Army, a terrorist organization among the world's most feared from the early 1970's to the late 1980's.
