“A 28-year-old man from Gatineau, Que. has been charged with attempting to leave Canada to participate in the activities of a terrorist group.
Ismael Habib is also charged with making a false statement to obtain a passport. He is due to appear in court Friday in Montreal.
Habib was already being detained in an unrelated case of criminal harassment and possessing false documents. He had been arrested in late February after Gatineau police received a domestic violence complaint against him.”
