Iran Can’t Find an American Hostage, U.S. Officials Say

“Former FBI agent Robert Levinson was kidnapped in Iran. But he wasn’t part of a recent prisoner swap. U.S. officials think that’s because Tehran doesn’t know where he is. When four Americans were released from Iran last week as part of a prisoner exchange, Robert Levinson, a retired FBI agent and contractor for the CIA, was notably not among them. Levinson was kidnapped while working in Iran in 2007, and after appearing three years later in a video and then a series of photos made by his captors, he hasn’t been heard from since.”
