Russian bombers again fail to target Islamic State in second day of attacks

“For the second day running, Russian aircraft bombed Syria, striking targets that included U.S.-backed rebel forces, but not apparently positions held by the Islamic State. Russian officials claimed that the 30 airstrikes had hit areas controlled by the Islamic State and al Qaida’s Syrian affiliate, the Nusra Front, but the Pentagon said it had no indication that a single Islamic State target was hit.”
