“At least five people in Jordan’s capital were injured in clashes between pro- and anti-government demonstrators on Friday, witnesses said.
The anti-government protesters, rallying in Amman, were calling for reforms and abolishing the peace treaty between Jordan and Israel.
At one point, pro-government ‘thugs,’ witnesses said, threw sticks and rocks at the anti-government demonstrators. Police swiftly intervened and put the situation under control.”
