“An Egyptian security official says gunmen have attacked an army convoy east of Cairo, killing two soldiers, reported the Associated Press. The official said attackers opened fire at a convoy made up mostly of mostly military trucks towing tanks and other armored vehicles. The incident occurred on Friday on the road between the Suez Canal city of Ismailia and Cairo. He added that the two members of the convoy who were killed were conscripts.”
