“Recently bereaved families are being warned to watch out for a new computer hacking scheme using fake funeral notices.
Scammers have hit a ‘new low’ with the malware attack which tricks those who have lost a loved one to click on a link that refers to the funeral service of the recently departed.
The Federal Trade Commission has issued a warning against the hacking scheme which sends out a bogus email containing a link which automatically downloads malicious software.”
