Drugs worth 2.5b riyals seized in Saudi Arabia

“Drugs worth 2.5 billion riyals have been seized by Saudi authorities in the last five months. The hauls have also resulted in the arrest of 991 traffickers and the numbers included 654 foreigners from 33 countries and 337 Saudi nationals, the police said. Nineteen policemen were injured during the anti-drug campaigns while three traffickers were killed and 11 smugglers and pushers were wounded, the figures released by the Saudi police on Wednesday indicated.”
