A leaky database belonging to Adobe exposed the private data of 7.5 million customers, a security researcher recently discovered. The information that had been exposed for an unknown period of time, included customer email addresses, countries, member IDs as well as account and subscription information. The information could be used by threat actors to target victims with convincing spear phishing messages.
Adobe fixed the issue the same day the researcher disclosed it to the firm. According to the company, the exposed information “did not include any passwords or financial information” and the “issue was not connected to, nor did it affect, the operation of any Adobe core products or services.”
