While 71% of cybersecurity professionals are happy with their job and 78% would recommend people to pursue a career in their field, 62% admitted that their work is stressful and 44% expressed dissatisfaction with their current work-life balance, a recent Exabeam study found. 40% of professionals are actively looking to change jobs, with 51% of them indicating this is due to a lack of financial compensation and a lack of support from their superiors.
The study also underscored the notorious lack of diversity in the infosec industry, with 91% of respondents identifying as male and 65% as Caucasian.
