Hosting provider and domain registrar Hostinger has experienced a security breach impacting millions of customers. A threat actor recently hacked into an internal server, which ultimately allowed them to make “API calls affecting information about Clients.” The API calls were made against a massive database containing the personal data of around 14 million customers.
The data that may have been compromised includes usernames, IP addresses, full names, phone numbers, emails, home addresses and hashed passwords. Hostinger has forced a password reset for all affected accounts and is currently investigating the incident to identify targeted customers, the exact number of which is not known at this time.
