A top NASA astronaut may have committed the first crime in space by hacking into the bank account of her estranged spouse from the International Space Station earlier this year. Astronaut Anne McClain and her wife Summer Worden are in the process of ending their marriage, while fighting over the custody over a 6-year-old boy that was conceived by Worden and carried by a surrogate.
Worden claims that McClain’s bank provided “evidence to my attorneys that she did access my bank accounts,” while she was aboard the International Space Station. The NASA Office of Inspector General was informed of the alleged incident by Worden’s attorneys in July.
