A new US Signal survey conducted among IT professionals ranks the top threats to organizations as DDoS (43%) ransomware (33%) and zero-day malware attacks (19%).
DDoS attacks have hit a staggering 83% of organizations in the past two years and just over half of firms (51%) were attacked more than once over that period. The average DDoS campaign results in 12 hours of downtime. The most damaging consequences of these attacks are revenue loss (36%), decreased productivity of IT teams (34%) and reputational damage (20%).
