A new LastPass study[pdf] carried out by Vanson Bourne reveals that 92% of IT/security professionals are struggling with one or more identity management challenges, with 47% pointing to ease of use with security as the top challenge.
The vast majority of respondents said that shortcomings in identity management have put their organization at risk. The most cited consequences of this risk are incorrect access controls (41%), employee data loss (36%) and customer data loss (33%). Despite this, many companies have yet to adopt a comprehensive solution for identity management.
