Nearly 7 in 10 (69%) organizations need artificial intelligence (AI) solutions in order to be able to respond to cyberattacks, while 61% can’t detect critical threats without AI, a new Capgemini Research Institute report indicates. A majority of executives (56%) state that their cybersecurity analysts cannot effectively detect and prevent cyber incidents due to the enormous amounts of data they need to monitor.
Respondents in the survey noted that new types of attacks that cannot be effectively dealt with by cybersecurity analysts without AI assistance are increasing. These include attacks impacting time-sensitive applications (42% of respondents saw these increase) and automated attacks that rapidly mutate (43% saw these increase).
