A new report by Delta Risk sheds light on the challenges faced by companies as part of their efforts to migrate IT operations to the cloud. The survey highlights data loss and leakage (64%) as the top cloud security concern for organizations and shows that a majority of companies (54%) consider the risk of security breaches to be higher for cloud environments than for traditional IT environments.
When it comes to the biggest weaknesses in cloud security, respondents pointed to misuse of employee credentials and improper access controls (42%); insecure interfaces and APIs (42%); and cloud misconfigurations (40 percent).
