North Korean leader Kim Jung-un has received a letter “of excellent content” from US President Donald Trump, North Korea’s state news agency reported this Sunday, raising hopes for a new round of talks between Trump and Kim over North Korea’s nuclear program.
This weekend, Trump will travel to South Korea to meet President Moon Jae-in for “in-depth discussions on ways to work together to foster lasting peace through the complete denuclearization of the Korean peninsula, while strengthening the two countries’ alliance,” Moon’s spokeswoman said.
Tensions on the Korean peninsula have increased since the breakdown of a February summit between Trump and Kim.
