CISOs Struggling With 50+ Separate Security Tools
A new study by Panaseer found that 87% of enterprise CISOs are having a hard time keeping track of sensitive data, with 31% of respondents worrying that this complicates their firm’s compliance efforts.
A common problem seems to be reliance on a great number of different security tools. The average organization uses 57 different solutions, and 27% of enterprises use a whopping 76 security tools or more. It is very problematic that more than 70% of organizations do not actually evaluate these solutions in terms of risk mitigation. Moreover, 36% of firms have such a flawed security strategy that their security teams spent a lot of time on the manual production of reports, which is something that really should be automated.
